Notzilla,a1962film,takesplaceinYomamaBay,wheretheJapanesearmedforcesarebattlingagiantkaiju.Meanwhile,apaleontologistnamedProf.HiroHondasavestheoffspringofthekaijuandtakesthemysteriousredeggtoCincinnati,Ohioforsafety.However,asthejetarrives,heaccidentallyflushestheeggdownthetoilet,anditdisappearsintotheOhioRiver.Coincidentally,agroupofphysicistsledbyDr.RichardBlowheartaretesting"uber-fission"powerattheSecretNuclearUndergroundGovernmentInstallation(SNUGI)beneathCincinnati.TheeggisshakenloosebythetestingandisdiscoveredbyBlowheartandhisassistant,Dr.ShirleyYujest.TheymeetProf.Honda,whoexplainsthattheeggcontainsalivingNotzillasaurusPartiontilldon,whichwillremainsmallaslongasitisnotexposedtoalcohol.However,ifthecreatureisexposedtoalcohol,itwillgrowhundredsoftimeslargerandattackthenearestcity.ThefilmfollowsthecomedicchaosthatensuesasthescientistsandProf.HondatrytopreventtheNotzillasaurusfromwreakinghavoconCincinnati.
