編劇尋求心靈伴侶的故事
這是一部Williamson本色發(fā)揮的自述式電影，片中充斥著(zhù)編劇本人身上的味道。我們可以感覺(jué)到，編劇Williamson在行文間的那種“如果我是男主角，我該怎麼辦”的想法。這就是為什么影片要用大量篇幅來(lái)為男主角的謊言善后，這與美式電影典型的高爆發(fā)力及高潮強烈而短暫的特性有明顯的差異。
片中對于女性的理解刻意的單薄化，過(guò)分的理想化，并進(jìn)而將男女間的關(guān)系簡(jiǎn)單化了。從而降低了戲劇上的矛盾。當然這也是影片清新之風(fēng)撲面而來(lái)的原因。
